Hi all,

Saturn obtained on the same night as Jupiter, though earlier. Good seeing. All rather quiet on Saturn....

Hi all,

Another recent session with Rico using the 50cm Cassegrain. This time we had a short spell of very good seeing.

The GRS and SEBs spots are especially well seen. One is inside the GRS hollow in a highly elongated state.

Hi all,

Despite poor weather at home, Rico Enzmann and myself managed to obtain this view of Jupiter very close to exact opposition. Io is in transit perfectly in line with its own shadow beneath.

Damian,

I have contrast enhanced your image to show the morphology of Clyde Spot (attached panel).

It seems to me that your image shows CS to have evolved to an annular cyclone with a double core and perhaps closed circulation. Interesting and to be followed...

Hi all,
I recently bought a secondhand C14 of 2005 vintage from Dave Tyler, and this is the first image from it.

The seeing was OK at 27 degrees altitude, but wouldn't provide fine details.

Hi again,

Here are the images taken after the Phemu. Full photometric series in good seeing (except in V).

The new STB eruption can be seen as a small bright spot in UV.

Hi all,

Here is an observation of the conjunction between Io and Europa on August 10th (so not a real Phemu btw).

Nice to see the differences in size, details, albedos and colors!

Best regards

Hi all,

A brief spell of very good seeing with the GRS central. Ganymede, Io and Europa were also close to the planet.

I measured the GRS size from this data at 15,138km across its horizontal axis.
