Hi all,
I just
managed to catch Mars as the recent regular cloud moved in. As far as I can see
there is still some dust activity over the Noachis region, and although there
may be some residual dust in the atmosphere, generally this area appears to be
clearing.
With
Mars dropping rapidly in size, I have changed back to my "normal"
template, for ease of viewing.
It was
a pity to miss out on most of the recent action, but well done to my friends in
the East who managed to cover developments beautifully.

excellent. This is for a project to perform a small reflectance study of the
Martian details (to be carried out later).
As an
interesting remark, you can note a curious phenomenon of inversion of albedos
in the UV, Mare Cimmerium and Sirenum being brighter than the northern deserts
- and this is not by clouds. This can be spotted on other UV images as well.

Elsewhere in the image we see the dust activity becoming more widespread.

I
especially love on this image you can make out Gale Crater - the curved

Hi guys,
Sorry to send this data once again, but I found another error in my preceding

This is the corrected reflectance spectrum of Mars. It is now more in
accordance with previous data of the same kind that shew a luminosity peak
around 700 nm, and not between 600 and 700 as in my last sending.
The IR
part has been painfully corrected from the Earth bands turned into maths
artefacts, since the Sun spectrum I used to calculate the profile does not
contain those bands.

Hi,
For
planet observation, I think it is best to make a clean RGB. Using each color
channel in your end photo brings out clouds and Mars details the most (in my
opinion).
This
observation shows two small cloud fields close to the polar ice cap, which are
parallel to the polar ice cap. On the edge, see morning clouds also in the
Arctic area.

Mr. Murakami,
Since
last year I have passed by hard conditions for observations due to cloudy skies
and technical issues. Additionally, this year has been specially
hard due to pandemic of Covid-19, because I have my observatory far from my

and country restrictions.
Recently,
I started again and I expect to produce new images in short time. I will
